FKH Current Status

Before Shyam Anthony & Sinchana got married in January 1995, Sinchana Anthony had gone through pain and misery that abandonment brings and was broken to see many children face the same challenges as she did and these children had no one and nowhere to turn to for help. She saw there were so many in desperate need for help, support and care villages especially in the rural areas.

 

After their marriage, Pastor Sinchana insisted of starting the orphanage for 10 long years and she stepped out in faith to minister to the needs of vulnerable children and families in their community with little bit of resources she had.  

 

In 2005 they had nothing but a small rented house where they started with two children, who  had been abandoned by their parents, and she called this new found home as “Felicia Kids Home”… FELICIA-  meaning  “Happy”.

 

Since then, they have seen God use them to bring a smile and hope to hundreds of children directly or indirectly, who had no hope to live any longer.

FKH having provided a home to 32 children, It also meets the needs of 6 other children on a home based system to provide their education,medical and clothing.

​

Since FKH was started in 2005 to shelter and educate children these children would otherwise be unsheltered and uneducated. Since its beginning FKH has continuously upgraded and transformed its facility in all areas, from increasing the number of children it accommodates, to improvements in the school facilities and medical and health facilities, teaching music and computer training to these children.

 

Also Local initiatives have been designed to generate income to ensure a sustainable future for the FKH.
