Ambresh is from Elavatti, he was introduced to F.K.H from one of our friends. His father died of a heart attack. Mother also is been very sick and She could not take care of her son, he was 8 years old when he came to F.K.H. since in F.K.H he found hope of living and a great desire to become a police officer, he is in 8th grade, studies well.

Akash is from Hubli who does not have his father and mother. He never knows who is his father but his mother is absconding for the last four years, he has another elder brother. Amogh is a brother of Sindhoor he is also born of temple prostitute to a different father. When his mother brought him to F.K.H. he was 4 years old, after one year of admission in F.K.H. his mother passed away. He is a shy and very naughty. Rekha is from Sirgi village,sirati takul, Gadag. Her father is Manjappa Bajanthri he is an Alcoholic and he is not able to support the family financially. Rekha is having 2 sisters and her parents are not able to provide education to their daughters. So Rekha joined FKH. Now she is in 2nd grade.

Florence came to Felicia Kids Home in the month of June 2015. Florence is from Bidar, Karnataka which is about 500 Km from Hubli. She has both her parents; her father was a laborer in a factory, which was closed due to some circumstances. Since he was not able to find a job immediately, he found it hard to support his family; He then approached F.K.H and explained their problems. Looking at their situation, we decided to take her in at F.K.H and help in accommodating Florence. She is very bold and friendly and loves to be around her friends at F.K.H.

Laxmi is from the village 60 km away from Hubli. Her mother had two husbands Laxmi is from a second husband child. Laxmi lost her father when she was little, the mother could not take care of the child because of poverty. That was the time Laxmi came to F.K.H. and her mother died after two years of Laxmi stay in F.K.H. she has no father and mother she very shy but brilliant child. Kavya is from a village called Aralikatti near Hubli, Karnataka. Kavya’s father was a farmer, but after being hit by drought, he suffered a heavy loss because his crops had failed. Depressed about it, he committed suicide leaving behind his wife and 3 daughters. When we were in their village training people in hygienic living. Her mother approached the Felicia Kids Home team and requested us to take her in, after learning their pathetic situation; we could not refuse to bring her into the care of Felicia Kids Home. She loves to dance and loves to socialize with the other kids. She is a jolly kid and studies well. She is currently studying in the 9th grade.

Nagaveni is from machenhalli, a small village near Hubli, Karnataka. When she was a little kid, Nagaveni’s father died due to some disease, and since her mother had no educational qualification, she could not find employment anywhere and could not support herself and her child. She tried working in the fields but since there was a severe drought in their village, she could not find employment even in the fields and found it very difficult to provide the most basic needs for her daughter. She then heard about Felicia Kids Home through a relative and she approached us looking for help. After carefully analyzing her situation with caution and also a concern, we adopted her in Felicia Kids Home when she was six years old. On arriving we realized that she was very timid stammered a lot and was very weak physically. After much care, love and counseling she is doing great. She is now in the 6th grade doing really well in her studies and she has big ambitions.
Jyothi Sunkad

Jyothi is from a village, 60 km away from Hubli she studies well. She has one brother and sister. Mother died of HIV, father died when she was very little, and she was left with her old grandmother who was blind. The very poor condition and usually had no food for many days.
